My Armada II client crashes whever i try to load the game.

I can load the "launcher",  clicking 'launch fleet ops' brings up the splash screen then an error message:

"armada 2 has caused an illegal operation blah blah blah"
debugging the error gives: "Unhandled Exception in Armada2.tgt (NETWORKMANAGER.DLL) : 0xC0000005: Access violation"

Steps i took to get the error:
1) uninstall everything
2) Install STA:II
3) Patch to 1.1
4) Play Game (works fine)
5) Install Fops v3 Preview
6) Try and play (got error)
7) Install  "V3 Preview Patch 1"
Cool Try and play (same error)

I can still play Armada II (without fops) jsut fine, so i assume my client is ok.

Do not install Fleet Operations over an existing Armada2 installation. Pls install Fleet Operations into an fresh and empty folder.

thx
the log looks fine to me. just out of interest, have you tried running fleet operations without patch 1 installed?
what does happen when you temporary rename armada2.tgt to armada2.exe and run it then? does it launch successful to the main menu? or does the same error occour?

it didn't work without the patch, no.

Renaming Armada2.tgt => armada2.exe gets me to the main menu.  Crashes when i try and click something.  "Fatal Exception, memory could not be written"
