anyway on topic, if it was working before then you probably shouldn't install the patch. if none of those symptoms (what the patch fixes) were a problem for you then it really wont do much good for you. everyones comp is different, so er yeah... you may not get the problems that others do. well im babbling now... so bottom line just keep it without the patch.
hey doca is their any known problems with compatibility between patched and unpatched versions?

Simply because of the balance changes the patches are not compatible for multiplayer matches.  cheesy

btw only just noticed this... but is there gonna be a fix for the fact that the AI can build structures without constructing the structures that human players need to first?

Aye and the Dominion AI can construct ships without actually having the prototype first. Ive watched closely at what he does, in one yard he builds the prototype and in the other the actual ship :S

hurm....Crashes on start up for me, happend once before the patch and i thought the patch would fix it. also i whent to advanced settings to change the way the little logo that comes up for start comes up, i thought that mabe that was the problem, and i got hist with threee or fore errors at each screen.

Edit::
Relized this was no help with out error text.  first error,
cant find FOHook.exe
Clicked on advenced cant find   highres/RGB/hrset and foset
 Cant find what im looking for so i Go to change Use high res textures cant find FOHook.exe and hrset and fohook.exe
Fond what i was loking for, tels me i have a regristry problem. then it cant find FOHook.exe changes dindt hold, game crashes on start. thanks

I was jaut able to start the game, i didnt use the auto play feture of the disk.
