Are we ever likely to see experience in Fleet Ops? Or is it even possible? I think it could be quite an interesting addition - for example, a decent crew could turn an otherwise overly expensive capital ship into a much better fighter e.g. by doubling firepower, effectively making the ship twice as good value for money. Obviously, the bigger the ship, the bigger the effect a crew has on the fleet overall. That could also lead to a better balance of ships in the game i.e. fewer large ships, plenty of small ones.

Khmmm well the defiant and phalanx are good against small ships yes. BUT u can get bops A LOT faster than u can get defiants and/or phalanxes. I think nebulas would work best against that or those monsoon class  cheesy

Though if your Dominion and someone tries to swarm u, bugs are the way to go lol. Or those Heavy Cruisers(**** pulse weapons Wink)

One of the differences Ive noticed in this version is that u cannot swarm only 1 type of ships. U'll get owned emidiatly, especially if you try to swarm battleship, they cost just too much and have too long of a build time. Ive learned this the hard way, when I was dominion and was trying to build battleships and they started annoying me at my yards, had to change my plans right away lol Cheesy
Anyhow, very good work on the mod. Im especially impressed with the AI

no way, ive had a look at the odfs, and er.... :omg:  lets just say it would be quicker (and easier) to just wait it out until the proper release

ps the odfs would probs be a minor thing, theres the models and stuff also

either just try to reboot or clear your temp folder (usually to be found c:\documents and settings\{your logon name}\local settings\temp)

how much free space is left on your c:\ drive?

that is too less free space. you require around 600mb free on your temp drive

You guys suprised me like heck with the AI. instead of making their usual probing stratagy and looking for the best spot to send a rush in, they wait... I had thought that the AI had it's old glitch (of not doing anything) and was building my base up and tech to get a feel for the faction when all of a sudden, BOOM. 45 klingon ship suddenly attacked my two entry points at once. It was a good thing that I had quite a few defences around (I am paranoid after all) + my fleet. Very nice AI system. Love how it suddenly attacks after a waiting period.

If you guys saw the look of my face you would have laughed...

That AI is smart, i was fighting 1 vs 1 today and it was hard to attack them, i destoryed one of their mining bases and then when i came back 10 minutes later they had another with defenses all round it, so the AI do learn from their mistakes, i can't wait for the full V3 cheesy
