i have just tasted the nectar of heaven.... and it is sweeet  Cheesy

but i am confused as to why the nebula still has the pulse phaser huh  or is that because it has yet to be redone?
also a question about "system strength" what is this on the verbose tooltip for a ship.

i mean dam this better than most full games i've played and it aint even finished yet LOL
anyway so far this is excellent, and now im off to go play some more cool

The Systemvalue shows you how fast the special energy of your ship will recharge.

If you take a look at a Supportship ( Fed Remoore as Example) the Systemvalue is much higher compared with a Phalanxclass.

yep, there is a description of the 3 starship attributes in the changelog. we will put up some info sites arround them till the v3 release  cool

From the Readme:

Added 3 dynamic unit attributes. These attributes describe the capabilities of vessels or stations.
  • Offensive Value:
The offensive capabilities of a starship or station. Units with higher offensive values can deal higher ammounts of damage or have faster reload times
  • Defensive Value:
The defensive capabilities of a starship or station. Units with higher defensive values can sustain higher ammounts of damage before getting critically damaged or destroyed
  • System Value:
The special system capabilities of a starship or station. Units with higher system values can reload their shields and repair their hulls faster. The system value does also define the special weapon energy recharge rate.

And yep, crew is no longer a resource Smiley the changelog within the "FOreadme.txt" in your Fleet Operations folder contains all information about what has been changed till beta2

I found a VERY critical matter of the missing crew. Right at the beginning ppl start building masses of small sized ships and roll over the map with 2 or 3 fleets. That's boring.

There is more then one way to stop the destroyer swarming Wink every race has its own answer to this topic. besides that supply takes the role of crew.

I just played as the Dominion, Klingons, and Feds. I've yet to play as the Rommies.

One comment about the Dominion is that sometimes I get confused with the Mining Mode and Construction mode ships. While it is probably just a personal problem of mine I just wanted to say something instead of sitting in the corner.

I love the detail about the Klingon mining ships to where they can change their role in life. LOL
