Question - has this been tried out on multiplayer by anyone, i know that beta 2 tended to suffer out of sync errors with me and i wonder if this is still a problem. I will try it out in a couple of weeks after my exams finish.

Ive played multiplayer several times already, it never went out of sync ^^

Which resolutions can we expect to be supported in the final release?
Two PCs and two problems: I don't know why but I can't play it with 1280x1024 px and 1280x960 px though both are default resolutions.

But however:
It's fantastic!
And I DO love it!
Don't know what to tell you more. Go on like that!

I can't wait to see the final release!

Put in a new one - it's pushing it a little at 600 but it should be ok as it is only 54 odd high.

TheSeer - I was able to fire up 1280x960 and i think it is a supported resolution by both fleetops and armada ii. On the other hand armada 2 only supports 4:3 aspect ratios therefore 1280x1024 is an unavailable resolution and whilst i am not entirely sure about this but i believe fleetops is most likely limited by this armada 2 limit.

Strange enough, I'm running it at 1280x1024, so it's definitely supported.

Strange enough.. I just thought this could be a software-problem but it seems to be something different.
Thanks @ you all. I'll keep trying..

Are you guys running it at 1280x1024 using nvidia cards? I have a x800 xt and it could be something to do with armada 2s interaction with the drivers.

yep 1280x1024 using an NVIDIA 6800 series. (this was my default option on FO i.e. it started the game on this without me changing anything).

I can confirm that...

Just installed FO 3 PR on another computer with an ATI gfx card and the resolution was suddenly limited to 1280x960 (which is "not nice" on a 1280x1024 TFT display Wink).

Does anyone know if there is a registry entry or a configuration file where we could override that?

I could persuade most other games to run at the appropriate resolution by tweaking either the registry, the config file or the command line parameters.

Edit:

It might be that I found the file to change... ARMADA.PRF has information about the gfx card and resolution. I'm going to test it within the next 15 minutes and report back.

Edit2:

Changing the data in that file does not help, not even if you write protect the file afterwards. I hope someone else finds a "resolution solution". Wink
