aarrrggghhh icon7.gif NO WAY was that a straight red card. Ronaldo should've been booked for trying to influence the ref's decision. That ref was a complete joke throughout the entire match icon8.gif . Plus why did Sven bring on carragher (a defender) with 3 mins of extra time left for Lennon, a player he brought on as a sub. He had a number of midfielders to choose from dry.gif sleep.gif mellow.gif .
now once again England are out due to their inability to take spot-kicks dry.gif 1. MUAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH 2. That WAS a straight red, he kicked Caravalho in the balls on purpose. Its clearly visible from the replays, plus the ref was like 2m away and he saw it. It was a good call. The ref did a VERY good job, considering what have the other referees done. He was not biased towards anyone and he was dominant the entire match, good job  3. He did that cause supposably Carragher is a good penalty taker and he WAS playing on 0:0 the entire match. The ******. Its funny his penalty was saved tho  4. Good job Portugal  |

what ******* game were you watching?  how in any sober state of mind can you say that Rooney intentionally stamped on the geezer? it wasn't even a stamp, he just stepped backwards, after being hauled down and sandwiched between 2 players. the Ref then only blew for a freekick, that was it. then Ronaldo being the great sport that he is proceeded to coax the ref into handing out a card (which is in itself a yellow card). yeah a real great job ref, first half: how many "fouls" that hargreaves actually committed were actually fouls: about 1 or 2 at most. this is a contact sport. carragher is not a good spot kick taker, plus Sven had both Downing and CARRICK (who actually used to take West Hams penalties) to choose from before bringing on Carragher for a player he actually used as a sub. ALSO just to add to this... Isn't stuttering while taking a penalty kick, frowned on, and considered bad sportsmanship. (ref is supposed to order a retake) several of the portugal players did this, dam Ronaldo even done it twice in a single run-up. |

@ hyper, yeah i only caught from 75mins onwards so it was already 1-0. Ronaldinho just didn't sparkle in this tournament :omg: but i think that Ronaldo has answered a few critics (once again  ) who said he was past it. @scarface.... whats a wm? |

FFS, he did not kick the guy he merly stepped backwards :omg: It was intentional, he is known for this kind of **** a reputation is not supposed to influence ANY judgement on the pitch, more great refereeing. Otherwise WHY was an ARGENTINIAN ref allowed to take charge of the match(theres rough history there between England & them). well baron if you thought that was deliberate let me just say im glad your not one of the refs out there  most of the free kicks were conceded by Hargreaves who actually plays his football in Germany  (i actually thought he gave a good acount of himself today) It is a contact sport not judging by the refereeing in this tournament. the refs have been very.... inconsistant. and yes he was turning away, thats WHY ronaldo started waving the imaginary card (which he, himself should still be booked for regardless). and if you look closely he DID stop while taking the penalty (during the second, more prominant stutter) oh yeah@scarface its cool no need to apologise woot now i know the German for World Cup  |

Rooney kick <-----If this is not deliberate to you I dont know what is. That IS a red card. Please man dont be sore loosers and blame a ref for your loss, when actually he was one of the best refs Ive seen in this World cup. Oh and BTW I just read an interview with Eriksson and he said Rooneys red card was just so STFU I do agree with you on the refs of this tourney, they were pretty bad(not this one tho )

definately not. look at his boot, it doesn't even change direction at all, if it were on purpose then it would have done, cos otherwise he would have trod on the pitch instead Plus the ref (considering how highly you rate him) should already have blown for an England Free-kick. That was his last match in charge he is no longer the England Coach from the moment portugals 5th penalty was taken. you really think he gives a flying **** what happens now, or then? Well u brought Sven on yourselves So I cant really anwser you that, he is a teribble manager TBH  I guess we will never agree on Rooney, I still think its deliberate he just hit him "too" perfectly. Tho u are right, he should have given the free-kick to england b4 that, but even if he did and Rooney did the same thing, it would still be a red regardless Now about Brazil- France game. All I can say is all hail the King Zinedine Zidane and his old guard Makelele, Viera, Thuram, Sagnol and Barthez  And of course the Prince Thierry Henry! |

One can surely feel that his foot is between someones legs, it doesnt take a scientist to figure out what happens if you push then not really, you can feel it if you step on someone's leg, because well thats someones leg but even something as hard as someones hand is gonna be hard to notice, plus i really dont think he was concentrating on where the other player was (as hyper said he never took his eyes off the ball). As for France, well done i suppose. Guess they must be Brazil's deemon team (unlucky to play against). But im still backing Germany to pull of an upset |
