if he does i will smack erikson in the face im sorry rooney should not play till the sweeden match just to get him warmed up

they dont even need to win against trinidad to be honest ofcourse it would be nice but its not worth the risk if they wanna beat the next match

Just start with Owen up front and COle supporting or gerrard either way leave rooney till we really need him

Aye if Rooney get injured again, you guys are pretty much ******  cheesy

Plus Trinidad & Tobago are a weak, weak team, you should have no problems with them (Slovenia beat them 3:1 for christ sake  Tongue )

means nothing, sweden could do no better than 0-0. sweden have beaten & drawn with England previously.

i reckon owen wasn't attacking too much in the paraguay match as not to risk himself to injury or something like that, crouch is good enough to play attack but he shines when he's partnering someone else, the match was played like a 4-4-1-1 with crouch up front, england mite have got more goals if owen was in front of that lanky robot!! i agree with 4 of 11 about rooney, no need to rush him out to play trinidad, the swedes are decent enough so i hope ericsson saves rooney for that match if he's needed

it was more like 4-5-1    when england were in posession he often wandered all the way back to the half-way line instead of actually being up front like he was supposed to as the lone striker on the pitch

Can anyone tell me what happened to Brazil? Ronaldo was more an elephant than one of the worlds best players... 0o

Ronaldo thrives on couter-attacks, he is not so good in a game like yesterday when Brazil constantly pressurize the opponents. Thats why he is not so good at Real, their style of play does not suit him either. That is also the reason he was so good at Inter Wink

BTW: The team I am supporting this tournament, Spain, just gave Ukraine a lesson in football. IMO they were the most convincing team in the tournament thus far  cheesy

Odonkor and Neuville caused the 1:0.

You meant: "what the 1:0 caused..."  Wink

That was one exciting football match... I hardly breathed the last 10 minutes. Cheesy

agreed it was a great match! as i'm a bit deaf i sometimes have subtitles/captions when watching tv and so i had em on to get what the presenters were talking about before kick off and i couldn't help but chuckle when the following words popped up on the subtitles - "..there is an invasion of poland fans in germany tonight.." trust the BBC to do something like that lol
