We have started the project now like 5 years ago. Much time has passed in which we released 2 major versions along with a few patches that brought new features in the game. With them of course the multimedia pack that emphasized the ambiente of Fleet Operations as well as the language pack that allowed players (at least the German and Spanish speaking) to play in their native language.

Remember beta 1.0? We have hosted the file directly on our server which back then had a monthly traffic volume of 10gb. We beat the limit by 20gb on the first day. Till today the mod reached over 50.000 counted downloads on big armada fan sites. Many more on unlogged http, ftp and p2p mirrors. Based on these numbers and the positive feedback i received during that time i say that Fleet Operations got the most played Star Trek Armada 2 Total Conversion.

And no, the project is not dead. Fleet Operations 3.0 will come. Many are aware that we are not working non-stop on the project of course (i hope nobody demands that Wink). There were breaks due to new jobs, studies, family and a well known mmorpg Smiley. Despite of that we took the time on a day or another during weekends or holidays to continue with work on the project.

The Dominion is now playable and most of the programming stuff around Fleet Operations completed. A whole new Site design is in the starting blocks extra for v3.0 . A few bugs that affected network and online gaming could be abolished, too. In short: The most important todos are now done, only 1 or 2 major todos and some less important are left to implement till the release of v3.0.
The project won't be stopped without notice. And as long as this site is up and running (and i pay my monthly fees for it) you can be sure that we are still working on the next major version of Fleet Operations.

Well I had serious doubts, all other projects that I've seen un-updated for months tanked. FO is the first I see not to do that. 2 thumbs up! Cheesy
And I surely do expect you to work 24/7 to finish the game up Tongue j/k
Question, will you release when it's done, right away, or does the new site come first? Also what are the chances it is done on June 23 (= last exam and a lot of time after it for me Wink)

1. I would demand that, but I can understand, there are other issues for you.
Nevertheless, I hope, you work on FO3 with highest possible priority. As long as you don´t make larger breaks and tell us when you pause, we have no reason for concerns about the cancellation of the mod.

2. Ah, that explains everything. Without it, it would be released month ago Wink

3. Is the website part of that list? Could you tell us, what are the final tasks?
