I downloaded the Beta 2 version of the Mod. Played a few skirmish rounds and it worked fine. I liked it. I then downloaded the media and Patches 1 and 2 (Both from Starmadafiles.com). After that I noticed that the AI (both enemies and allies, tested on several maps) will refuse to build more than two warships and also seems to refuse to build any science stations or other advanced problems. I get no error reports. I seem to be unaffected.

Might it have something to do with the fact that I have four copies of the same game (with different Mods applied) in my hard drive? I will explain: Once I have ST Armada II downloaded + patch 1.1 after that I copy it into three individual copies, or more if I like more than one Mod. I then Mod each individual copy while leaving the original intact for future copying.

Though I do not see how this would affect me because I installed the mod with the installer and CD. I am just trying to give information and rule out other problems.

I would much rather be pointed to a newer patch/ option change rather than reinstalling. Though it is easy, I am either too buisy or lazy to like doing it.

Other than that, it is an interesting mod, and I look forward to future updates.

Fleetops is a stand alone mod.
You don't have to overwrite armada 2.
You know that right?

I said that, and yes I do know.

There was a Fleetops beta 2patch1 which I downloaded before Beta2patch2.
In STArmadaFiles it was called Fleet Operations beta 2 hot fix1. I then downloaded the Fleet Ops Beta 2 Patch 2 from the same source. Does my problem have to do with the two patches combined perhaps?

I also did a scan and discovered similar problems elsewhere. If I knew anyone who still plays (or even owns) Armada II this wouldn't be a problem. But since I do not have a gamespy account (I will never do buisness with them. Their software according to my computer [tested every year for three years up till a year ago when I stopped tring] is both spyware and error causing. I have a story about it but it is too boring to tell and happend a some time ago.) I can't really find someone to play with Sad . Ahh, oh well, I am a patient man, I can wait for the beta 3.

If I were you I would just reinstall Beta 2. And install only the patch from fleetops.net. Eventhough the 2 patches shouldnt interfer with each other :S

Oh about that playing online thing, there is a ladder in st-galaxy.com, for more info ask Jan(pm him) Smiley

BTW: Welcome to the forums. Wink
