After the disappointment that was Star Wars Galaxies, i'm approaching this game VERY cautiously.

I don't know, this seems a little bit of an odd twist for the whole star trek game genre. It doesn't need to fit. Star Trek really doesn't do well from the first person in my opinion, More so it does well as an RTS or TBSG. something with unison and complete command of a starship, MMO ehhh?

I disagree. This is the closest possibility so far that ppl can take part right in that world they ever dream of. There are so many fans around the world...i guess much people (trekkies) who never used their computers for playing will do that for STO. They just wanna make the experience in participating in that world. This is gonna be awesome!
