What exactly are the devs doing for v3 in the way of tournaments?

I spoke with DOCa about that. He once thought about doing a simple tab league.
As moderator and admin of the st-galaxy network I worked out a plan to open a ladder on our tool ( follow my sig ) for Armada 2: FleetOperations V3  for first time!
sTg is developing a new kind of league that allows teams to see their "empire" grow or shrink. That depends on your games that you´ve won or lost. It´s called the "galaxy map" .

You can login in and you see our galaxy with all 4 quadrants. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta. All quadrants include little squares. A grid appears. As team you start in a couple amount of squares and can fight each team that borders to your empire. All quadrants are also linked with each other through wormholes so it´s possible to fight other teams, too.  We will do our best that you have an exciting league.
How the galaxy map is really going look like and what special will be added I can´t answer yet.

DOCa was faszinated about that and did not decline my suggestion to work together with sTg.

We also ordered a new domain that will be handled in english only. But that is another part you will be informed soon. When time has come english speaking moderators and admins are sought.

This concept is also transferable on games like Legacy...so it´s for all NON-Shooter Games.

In February the galaxy map will come to action the first time if all works fine.

Dunno.  A few days back, Optec stuck his head above the water for a few seconds, just long enough to say that the devs were being delayed by some personal emergency.
