be good of it to uses the sepetate effect to creat a cube and a sphere and then you can reintergrate them,  that would make the cube more of a super ship. does anyone know if they are using the galexy seperation comand for anything yet,
because without editing the main armada exe (source code [which happens to be ileagle, but who realy cares]) you can't have more then one ship able to seperate and reintergrate. instead you could uses the build command...

well, no the cube could be a supership, it would be built without a yard since it's too big or it could have a yard of it's own.

There is a logical way around that, I have known of cubes being used as mobile starbases which solves that issue. It is understandable as in first contact we saw a sphere flying out of the cube when it was destroyed, who says it wasn't built in there. It is entirely possible that the cube was the constructor of the vesseal, the voyager crew made the delta flyer from scratch the borg could easily do the same on a much larger scale.

I agree with Ryan and the nice part is it could actually be done as the species 8472 had it in A2 Smiley

Come to think of it I think someone has already done something a bit like it, but using it as a shipyard...

hmm If I can find a decent model, with the animation already included then I'll make it myself as an example.

well nothing can be PERFECTLY canon, cause for instance federation only has like 5 sovies in its whole fleet, EVERYONE who plays the feds has at least 16-32 in every game so it would be kind of dumb the borg could build like 100 cubes and feddies like 5 sovies wouldnt it Cheesy
i like only having 1 or 2 sovies  i dont really seem to need many of them as i always have them as the "command ship" of a fleet, an attacking one and a defending one Tongue

BTW cool sig cool

yeah the 8472 had the mothership. In the beginning..... ........ alot of players build huge fleets of 8472 motherships and rampaged the other other players (unless they had fusion cube's)

ahhh the good old days..............

As Roach already told u, they have that moving base thing. Which is strong and cam move and can build stuff---> like a borg cube should be.

the whole moving base thing can be simply achieved by giving said base an appropriate physics odf, nothing special really  huh . but  if you make the cube as a station odf, it will probs have to be built by a constructor ship? and be able to recrew like a station from anywhere on the map    how many "special features" can you give this thing and still maintain balance?

Moving bases have slightly more differences to static ones than just a phyics file. They have to be set to have no footprint, they have to actually have engines, and as you may have seen the 8472 mother goes virtical whenever it is stationary so that is another thing that you have to medal with. Also the game has loads of cortradictory commands saying that it is a ship not a station and the game can (if you get it wrong) treat it differently to a starbase or a supership.

The fact it goes vertical is just in the physics that doesn't have to be meddled with, however you can't move and build at the same time which is a pain. Also I belive the station classlabel would be better than constructorrig as the constructorrig builds outside of itself. There isnt too much to mess with and as for the recrewing that can be removed using on the brians context sensitive menu command lines.
I still dont think the cubes should be able to build though but I do agree they should be more powerfull.
