Sine the demo has most of the stuff in the game, would fleetops be able to download off  of the demo? Smiley I just want to know if its possible becaus i move arouund alot between 3 houses ndont always have the disk

i think there would have to be a special demo version, because there are safeguards inplace to prevent demo users from using regular a2 mods.

it would take much more time to make a demo think of it as a mini fleetops.

That's not true, about the safeguards, the mod "Assimilation" (I think, i'll look for the specific name if that's not it) on the demo...so there are apparently ways to get around that.

EDIT: However my suggestion is to make a disc image on the other houses that you go to, and keep the disc at your..."Main house" lol

perhaps V5 could be free of the a2 disk
but as for now the system works pretty good

i think one of the workarounds was to install all the odfs (including starships) into the station folder, or something like that.

Making it without the CD wouldn't make it a mod anymore, and then Activision would sue them, because they basically jacked the design of armada II and changed it around...it would become it's own game if they didn't use it's CD.

well technicaly the european laws are much less strict and since activision resides in the good ol USA well the...lets just say activision cant do much other then yell
