No one seems to realize that all these changes of throwing massive overpowering armraments onto ships unbalances the game. They are doing an amaaizngly close to canon job (in fact I love it...SAVE THAT FED DREADNOUGHT...eww) and if we make the defiant uber, someone will insist the cube needs more firepower, then someone will go "Why don't ships have 12 phaser arrays like in the show" and then someone will inquire as to why all the ships don't have torpedoes, either way its just super silly and we can leave it like it is =].

The game cannot properly represent the restricted arcs of some ships, and it would be very time consuming to add all the hardpoints and so forth. They game also can't make amends of the limited amount of torpedoes a ship has (Even if they are upwards of 200). As well as the shuttles on ships, they helped in battles. It also cannot account for skilled crews vs unskilled crews. So the game as it is with the fire rates that it has (which if they ship was in combat could likely represent the firing rate of phasers) is just fine. Are you sure you wouldn't rather play Star Fleet Command Three?

well...no the defiant is horribly underpowered...it just needs stronger hull and sheilds, it's crap right now Tongue it depends hugely on that weapons disabling thing otherwise it's bantha fodder...

The game is not "so cannon" have you been playing the same game? The romulans can nuke ships from across the map, the Tavara takes down any borg ship 1 on 1...The cube is supposed to be a threat, even more so to the romulans who aren't the strongest power in the galaxy...The Interceptors with their transwarp are deadly, a group of 5+ can beat a warbird, soveriegn, and a negvar...it's a joke to say that, the game doesn't become equalized because there are god ship(s) on every race, it becomes equalized when there are no godly ships...

SFCIII wasn't a great game, plain and simple, besides the horrific fact it was two dimensional...The starbases were disproportionate to the ships, the glows in game were completely unrealistic, and the only real great thing about it was the ability to name a ship whatever you want, and to totally customize the ship systems...

I like the game, however I wouldn't give up fleet ops to play it, it's not nearly as good, and wanting to have more realistic weapons in game is not something to scoff at...the games aren't ment to be like star trek, if they were, a galaxy would take one hit and everything would shut off Tongue The ships were ment to last a little longer, but there is no reason they can't portray a realistic strength...

i agree with the balancing issue but i do agree the defiant is alittle weak but then again it is a small ship so we cant complain

the only thing im annoyed about is the speed of the warbird , sovvy and negvar they are sooo slow Huh?

fusion cube beats it all the time
