ok, i dont get it. Seems like "jack@ss" humour to me.

oh yeah, about american humour, of course there is different kinds of humour, and they tend to be rather different in the way it is put accross. American humour tends to be more "in your face", where it can either work or it will flop. while British Humour tends to be more subtle, if you don't get the gag/joke, you probably wont even notice it was there.

Anybody watch "Takeshi's Castle"? do you think you are laughing at it for the same reasons as the people in Japan are?

Frodo's Gif was good, although in Britain that one would have been cencered (speeling ) after 1 showing

i was talking about what ryan said, didn't the russian winter make it possible for the british & their allies to defeat Napoleon? If he didn’t head into the snow to take moscow while the russians were burning everything they couldn’t retreat with, he might not have been stopped.

and yes i am a total nerd LOL .

I love the generalizations Tongue "American humor is in your face" "american humor is gross out" Please, I love british humor as much as the next person, In my opinion monty python was plain stupid, and then America comes out with it's own equal movie, Napoleon Dynamite, I watched that movie, and seriously lost some brain cells...I love you british folk as much as the next guy who doesn't want to be stuck in the western world because of a job Tongue

I don't want to be generalized as "Stupid Humor" my humor is hardly as tactless as "White Chicks" and "American Pie" I mean come on, that's down right insulting, and like politics, you can't blame all of the United States for it's own foolish goverment...I mean Bill Clinton? please...His bull still haunts us to this day, he was a disgrace, and yet I take crap for it? That's unfair, I didn't vote for him! :omg: My humor is tactful, whitty, and flowing, I don't do "Stand Up" that's bull, and I don't do something purely for the random laughs, Quick observations about the world around you, and the lack of people intelligent enough to realize how foolish they are acting is often good enough to keep your friends laughing, until one of them does something stupid, it's a never ending cycle LOL

Just don't generalize ALL of our humor on the stupid movies you see chugged out from places like Hollywood, come on now, that's just not fair... I know brits aren't all like montey python...Otherwise I would have made sure there was a petition to nuke your country long ago Wink However I understand how you can say that it "Works or it Flops" because when someone doesn't get a joke, there is a very akward moment of silence with people who don't know when a certain joke is...*ahem* functional, such as you don't tell racist black jokes in a NAACP meeting Tongue nor would it be smart to say "I'm gunna kill me a whitey" in a southern mountain town...

Many of my jokes go right over people's heads, it's mostly for my own personal amusement to call someone with a signifigantly limited vocabulary a "Peon" LOL It seems most of the time, people don't even get when I'm insulting them, so I understand how the generalization about Americans arose, because most of the kids here, that seem for some reason to represent us on the internet...think someone falling flat on their face is hilarious...while the first thing that comes to mind to me is "Oh my goodness, are they ok?!" not "Dude, he like fell and didn't even try and save himself *laughs hysterically*" ...So I understand where It comes from, however, you'll find few Americans like me Wink I use the metric system, and I spell colour with a u, and I also spell theatre with an re instead of an er...but that's just because I realize "English people created our language, they know how to use it better than us don't they?" Tongue Unlike most people...

the reason that britain has so many rude slang words is because of teenagers at school get boared so quickly ,they have nothing else to do.
