i have no clue. personally i'd like to see some ambassadors, new orleans, and the TNG-ish excelsior class ships, but they might be a bit out of there era in FO.

Why Fleet Ops has non-canon ships:

1) It gives the staff an opportunity to express their creativity

2) They look cool (most of 'em, anyways  LOL )

3) We simply don't have enough Dominion War-era ships to fill the slots

i'm just saying if we could map out the life cycle of the ships in service during the war, we could figure out what canon ship we might be able to use to replace some non-canon ones. and this is academic, i'm not implying or even trying to imply that it is necessary.

I don't really mean to attempt to stop the modder's ability to express themselves, the suggestions i make that are "cannon" are probebly just things about startrek that i liked and never saw in a mod.

Well as far as non-cannon and cannon are concerned, its a fictious universe/story and as cool as it would be to live in it, we don't. Now that i have said that i can go 100% ST geek. Cheesy

I. When in comes to engineering and fleet masses during war times, mixing and matching of similar componets on star ships would be really helpful. Hence the centaur, miranda, constellation, shelly, and raging queen class cruisers. They are mixes of their respective classes.
2. in a time of war, bringing the mothballed ships back into service with various refits becomes a reality. The building of odd ships would most certainly happen.
(this is when creativity comes in)
There were hundreds of engagements during the dominion war, not all "cannon" ships participated. Not to mention, take a look at The reckage of the battle of Wolf 359, pretty odd stuff floating around.
Ahh, what ever... i have over done it again, jesus i need a woman.

that would generally be because it was wreckage, plus it only got a few seconds screen time Tongue

Thats a good point, but there was this great website concerning star trek vessels that took it to an obsessing extreme. They had stills and reconstructions of Wolf 359 ships, it had a connie floating around, the Star Trek Phase II enterprise that was never used. It was crazy, like something all crazy n' stuff.  Smiley

Well waffles to you.
