No.  Startek.com says the thunderchild was an Arika class ship that was destroyed at the battle in first contact

startrek.com isn't official canon. official canon for star trek is the movies, the tv shows, and i think the two technical manuals.

I concur.
I concede I was wrong.
But still, Two akiras were destroyed.

wait, they didn't repair the Enterprise-D because it crashed onto a planet! O_O They'd have to literally fight the planets gravity and pull it off the surface, and that ship that has a rip in the saucer, the Akira...it would have depressurized and probably collapsed...Still, why would the borg cutting beams not just cut holes and what not out of it? Why a huge gash in the side? The borg cut a little cylinder out of the Enterprise-D, why couldn't it just cut off the hull bars connecting the saucer to the back, stardrive, section?

ok, about the trekmania thing, total contradictions:

image 1 = an akira taking a hit, not necesarrily being destroyed, you dont see it blow up so you have to assume it survives (may even be the Thunderchild? speculation)

image 2 = what they've labelled as Akira 2 is actually a constellation (yes a constellation there is 1 at the start of the battle where you see the defiant straffing the cube).

Image 4 = akira 3 is a UEO (unidentified exploding object) there's no way to tell what that ship is. Akira 4 im betting is the Thunderchild (seeing as how its the most focused on akira). Akira 5 im convinced is actually a front view of a saber. Akira 6 im willing to accept as another Akira (not much happening to that though). Akira 7, another saber anyone? definately not an akira. Akira 8, a blob in the distance, unidentified ship.

image 5 =  LOL  LOL the scene where picard pauses saying fire (an dooms about 5 - 10 ships) akira 9 is another saber (on its way to being destroyed no less). Akira 10, er do i need to say it rolleyes . akira 11 im not convinced at all, the shape of the saucer looks more in line with the steamrunner's saucer.

image 6 = how can that be steamrunner 4 when in...

Image 7 = they show steamrunner 4 as being well in front of the ENT-E, with half its saucer section amputated. akira's 12 + 13 are nothing more than blobs.

Image 8 = the only akira that can be ID is Akira 14 (most likely the Thunderchild as that was the akira that partook in the final assault on the cube). the other akira labels are nothing more than unidentified blobs.

image 9 & 10 & 11 = show the Thunderchild as it helps put the cube down. i know this as i had a screencap from a different angle showing the registry (NCC-63549) as my sig before the rules changed.

what would the torpedo stats for the akira be, i wonder? will it still have that modular multi-tube torp launcher, if so it could fire like... i'm too tired to calculate. anyone else care to give it a try?

Or maybe give it a few rapid fire micro torps like the Sang Class.
