yeah, i think it will get torpedoes as part of a specific avatar, but if you ask me i reckon that the Akira and Intrepids weapons should be swapped around, & the avatar boast the power of the akira torps & unlock torps for the intrepid instead . i agree it with you here, and i don't think it should be avatra based it should be that normaly tbh.

In Beta 3, Akiras will have torpedos if you pick a certain avatar.
Also, I agree that the weapons should be swiched around. In Beta 2, the Intrepid is stonger and larger than the Akira. That MUST STOP. The Akira is not only 100 meters longer, but is also much, much, MUCH better armed than the sissy Intrepid but size isn't everything, despite this the Akira is a torpedo cruiser, yet the only ship above the cruiser variety with no acess to torpedoes, an avartar wouldn't solve this it should have always had torpedoes

did the new orleans class test quantum torps (i thought that was the akira too)? i thought it just tested the burst torpedo launcher that the galaxy class had.
and what does akira mean anyway?

i agree it with you here, and i don't think it should be avatra based it should be that normaly tbh. thats what i said dude, the avatar bit, (cos avatars will be in there) is just to rearrange the intrepids arsenal with the akira's, hence shifting what the avatar does. this one: Fleet Admiral Risner
Starfleet Command - Increased the Photon Torpedo damage for Intrepid Class vessels by 2 and equipped Akira Class vessels with Photon Torpedos
- Reduced construction costs for Starfleet Command by 200 / 120
- Reduced research costs for all Starship Chassis by 125 / 125, 200 / 200 and 250 / 250 what i'm saying is switch the akira & intrepid around .

yep not interested in the tricolbalts, just the standard weaponry. besides i've only ever seen Voyager even use tricobalt torps, so i see no reason to move them as well .
