home 1 wasn't a mc-90 (they didn't have em yet), and it doesn't look like a mc-80b (IMHO), so thats why i said MC-80a. the thing about the "early" mc cruisers is that they are makeshift warships, where as the ISDs and VSDs are designed for combat. but argue all you want.

EDIT:!Eek :omg: I had the names mixed up Thanks to Rhaz for correcting me ! As such, deleted large parts of the post I'm very sorry people...my mistake, all me...*hears someone turn on a lightsaber* ok...not my fault to that extream...it was MC-80b MC-90 was the class that made his ship obsolete. MC-80 is smaller than an ISD, however not by much, it was said to take on an ISD by itself with considerable confedence. Home One was a MC-80b Cruiser that Admiral Akbar commanded during the battle over Endor. Nebulon frigates were tiny 300 meter escourt ships, the Millinium Falcon was docked at one whilst Luke was having his hand "repaired". It was the hopsital ship. EDIT: and yay, i got one right! thank you VCRs!

nubulan-b frigates are mainly used as very small mobile bases for fighters, because well, the only thing they can do is hull fighters around and guard unimportant convoys. oh, and they are used as patrol ships as well. i'd say 4 nebulan-b frigates can take-on a standard ISD, they'll get the snot kicked out of em, but they'll bring down the isd with them.

not even close IMO, 4 neb-b's could only threaten a shrike, maybe a dreadnought class

True True. No you'd need like a dozen Nebula B's (Not counting Fighter support) To tackle an ISD...as it has alot of Turbolasers. To take an ISD II? Don't bother...its heavy turbolasers would chew those frigates up. Its all about the fighters, 3 nebula B's could win if provided with ample well motivated Alliance squadrons of X-wings/E-wings and Y-wings/B-wings, but if the ISD Had Tie Avenger or Defender fighters on board it could really **** up those Rebels. (Even if those two classes were REALLY rare). In a fight like that its all down to who has the best or most (As imperials Meatshield their ISD's with ties).
MC80 and 80a cruisers were not a match for ISD's in terms of Firepower. They had redundant shielding however, that meant they could out last their imperial counterparts, but the ISD II had much better firepower (Albeit Weaker shields and Lower Maximal Velocity than an ISD I).
The MC80b as a part of a fleet destroyed a SUper Star Destroyer (Executor Type) under the command of Rogue Warlord Zsinj. Although it was easily capable of soloing an ISD and coming out successful, it was utterly destroyed by Silencer-7 (A large world devastator with the firepower of an Imperator class Star Destroyer). This is just the Mon Remonda, I know little of other ships of similar build. The MC90 was its successor, and the successor to that was the Mediator Battle Cruiser, which is my personal favorite Mon Calamari Ship. But in the tough times after the Empire, they found it hard to produce more ships and so began refitting ISD's to meet their needs in the form of the Nebula and Rejuvenator Class. They also refit VSD's for service, and named them Republic Class Star Destroyers. These refit ISD's were more than a match for an MC90 but took a backseat role to the Mediators. Teehee.
