i think i know what's taking them so long. they're obviously working so hard so that they can finish it by february and plan to release it the same day as star wars empires at war, so we can compare them side by side and judge once and for all who's more superior, star trek or star wars. LOL JK

Is this project vaporware? Like, I have haunting this board since the summer of 2004 and over and over the admin here have promised that v3 is right around the corner. Is there a beta anywhere? Can other people contribute to help get this project moving along? Or can we file this away with other vaporware projects like that one gaming console that promised to allow download of major games from multiple platforms. The only thing I see from the developers is 'Topic Closed'. My guess is that v3 is 'Topic Closed' too.
And for the uber nerds that will undoubtedly start trying to insult me to make their own sorry lives seem better - yes I know you think v3 will see the light of day someday. But talk is cheap, and not so much as a v3 beta in years... Seems dead to me.

Seems dead to me. not the greatest idea, insulting us in the process  . and no the devs have not promised its around the corner they clearly say "its done when its done" they put up a progress page and made an entirely new section on the forums. so please ask yourself this, if you have so little faith in it even being released, why are you posting here and not off supporting some other mod? i mean why even bother adding your 2 pennies? and plz when your posting something think, dont go insulting just about everyone on the board in a pre-emptive strike  not cool |

Seems dead to me. while I agree with you there is no point posting it on these forums as everyone here is firm under the belief that V3 is gunna come out soon. I have checked the german forums anf thwe FO team is a bit more active there although what the **** they are saying i dunno (haven't done german in more than 7 months) so it maybe that Doca and Optec can't be bothered to translate everything into english for us. I think that FOv3 will come out eventually but after that I seriously doubt the FO team will do anything. |
