I hated it. And it's mostly the directors fault. It could have been much better if someone else had made it.
Even with the material given it could have been better... but that "idiot" of a director cut all scenes that would have improved the story out, just to put in more of senseless action scenes.
Listening to the audio commentary and watching the documentary sometimes made me really angry.
It's after all the first ST that makes me hesitate when wondering if I should watch it again or not.
It's become just another sci-fi action movie... but it's NOT Star Trek.

I think the new director they hired for it did romance films before ( ), so I don't know why they'd hire him.

I thought the film was fantastic tbh, i felt it really touched on the darker side of startrek, which is needed after alot of the "Happy Days" shite they seem to put us through. Alot of things were very movie typical (such as the moving along the spike scene) but they worked well for the film and all show very different aspects of the characters. Not a bad film at all, much better than all the others, especially if you like the darker side of things.

but it is oh so true. it is allso mostly Rick Berman's fault. he's a sick person (he was the executive Producer for TNG). He wanted to change a lot in the film but the other people didn't let him. In ST First Contact, during the borg cube battle he wanted the USS Defaiant to be destoyed in a huge fireball. But the other story writers said that, that would have been an insault to DS9. Brannon Braga is also at fault... (well maybe not for Nemesis) the reason the Enterprise-D was destroyed in ST Generations, was that he was board and wanted a new ship.... what can i say, there are a lot of crazy people out there.

(well maybe not for Nemesis) the reason the Enterprise-D was destroyed in ST Generations, was that he was board and wanted a new ship.... maybe but at least an original ship (an excelent one as well) was thought up for the Ent-E, unlike that Enterprise series , that still makes me mad ripping off the akira so blatantly like that

you saw johnny dangerously too. small world. And making the “pre-enterprise” look like an akira, dumbest move in the history of anything. And it’s mocking the akira too, dumba****s. What is with writers, producers, and other movie people these days?
