I really like the cover with the federation flog, looks promising. hopefully something nice for the startrek universe. it could need a little "good old star trek" feeling, after our cowboys-in-space enterprise disaster  rolleyes

well you can see that walter is just cut and pasted on the background. so i don't think this is real. because i think startrek as learned from the NX series. or i hope

I just think if you're going to do a star trek show in the past you should do your homework and not change the course of history, like the thing where photon torpedeos came before phasers, that's just stupid. umm... forgot where i was going and... um, what the thread was about. so i'll just stop here

Star Trek lives on in Essex County

By: Jaime Kazlo

Wheelock's Garage in Port Henry, New York may not look like a movie studio from the outside. But once you step inside, you are immediately beamed back to the days of the Star Ship Enterprise.

Director Jack Marshall said, "What started as a lark, is now something that is watched by 22 million people."

Marshall is talking about an Internet based mini-series called "Star Trek New Voyages." New Voyages is based on the original 1960's television show. The 90 plus cast and crew are all volunteers. They've started filming the third episode "To serve all my days."

Executive Director Jim Cawley said, "Some people that have actually worked on Star Trek for the studio are here. Two of the original stars are appearing in this episode."

Those original stars are Walter Koenig who played Checkov and Mary Linda Rapelye who portrayed Rayna. Cawley hopes their star power will help get his series recognized.

"We can't profit from the show. So we hope that the studio will at some point take a look at it and so something with it," said Cawley.

Art Director Jim Lowe said, "Definitely to make them look as accurate as possible to the original. To be honest with you, we had to cut a corner here or there because of monetary constraints."

The film is expected to be released on the Internet in March

It's funnier.
