We fixed that in Twilight ie a sphere has 11,000 crew and a cube has a really big number which I can't remember at the moment.

always have hated that in mods. tend to get overwhelmed by the ai teleporting onto my ships. >>

Yeah well if they have a lot of crew....
But I can understand how that can be annoying, if nothing else it ***** up the AI cause all of their ships wont have shields anymore -.-
But can that be prevented, I mean without adding them shields of course Cheesy

here is an idea for implementing different colour shields for different races. if its possible, couldn't you just make the nessesary files, then assign them to the individual ships, in their odf,

for example, in the odf
fbattle.odf:
include "battle.odf"
include "blueshield.(insert file type)"

costs, blah, blah, blah

sorry if this ain't too clear. just a thought i had. Smiley

i like the blue shields seen here ...

i think i played an armada 2 mod where a single ship had a blue shield that stayed blue, and the rest of that races ships had normal shielding color. was a while ago, don't really remember that much about it. sorry i couldn't be more help.

@SisQ
Yep, we are thinking about a launcher option to allow every user to decide which shields he want to use.
We don't know if it will be included in v3, but you should find it in v4  cheesy

Well then everyone will  choose the shields of their race to make the game for them more realistic, which is great Smiley

one thing to watch out for would be wether this effects multiplayer stability, for players who have chosen different shield colours.
