this mite work but i think Interceptor is a good idea. BUT i think it needs to be a spetiol wepond. if your ship is distroyed wile the wepond is active a Interceptor will come out.

Sphere is to big its 3/4 the size of a cube in fo.

That might be okay for a hero ship but I don't think it'd really fit into the gameplay.
