I'm a video game addict, and i play some of the bloodiest, most gut wrenching, "Evil" games that people say are a corrupting influence. now, true i might spend about 40-50 hours a week on my computer but that just means i wouldn't have time to go around killing people even if i did have the desire to do so. which i don't. and that seems to contradict what politicians and anti-violence fanatics are preaching. if you don't want you kids to play violent games, then actually go out and watch them when they're shopping. and don’t try to ban everything that you find distasteful, that just isn’t anyones call to make.

Ya I know, preaching to the choir. I’ll stop now

without games like unreal tournament there would be nothing to relieve stress. the people who go out and murder a few people after playing a game are obviously just nutters, there was a killer inside them before they started playing the game   . nowadays life is quite violent, so why not ban people from living if they grow up in a tough neighbourhood .

violent video games DON'T make people violent, its the people who try to ban them that do

in the hyer case video game adition can scrow up your life. it coses you to loos intrests in a soshal life, you will have less fisacal ativaty, you will be late to obligations you will have, makes it hard to hold a job or get good grades in scool.

vedio game adiction i was told can all so bring on depretion exacerbates the problem.

vido games are a good thing thay can inpove moder futions, and hand eye cordination but in modration.

They are a good way to relieve stress, and I can say by experience that they do nicely in that respect.

As I've also said before, parents are to blame.

As William "Fatner" I mean Shatner said, "get a life."  I'm saying this in terms of those who play well beyond moderation.  One could eventually become looney and believe in the stuff in games.

Agreed.  That's why there are police officers in real life.
