faction hero vessels are not part of the current FO plan (besides the campaign of course, if there will be one)

Thats too bad Sad It would really be something if there would be heroes, that would mean even more diversity amongst different avatars and heroes could be like those in warcraft 3, wizards, warriors, .....

hope at least admiral risners one does slightly, give akiras torpedos. they should already have torps, their torp firepower is greatly above some of the much bigger starships, but phaser capability is somewhat limited. change around the intrepid and akira attributes for her i think Smiley

BTW is it just me or does she look remarkably like Jadzia Dax?

I think the FO Avatars come close to it  cheesy
Hmmm....they strike me as more similar to the C&C Generals "Generals" feature. In CFW, you could have up to 6 admirals at a time and you assigned them to a specific fleet, which then gave that fleet, and only that fleet, special bonuses. It also made controling your units infinetely easier. I LOVED that system sooo much....

A system like Conquest’s would be interesting, for a hefty price for example you could build a runabout or a shuttle containing Picard which then applied to a fleet like in Conquest Frontier Wars would take the strongest ship as his flag ship and give certain bonuses to the other ships in the fleet/group, however i wouldn't expect its doable with the A2 engine but you never know.

Just to add about CFW it was a very good feature for a game that contained so many excellent ideas that was so sorely ignored by gamers, a real shame.

Yeah, CFW was soo under appreciated. It was a bit limited in the scope of the SP, but the MP was really good. Couple of graphical errors and it wasn't the most stable of games and pretty fussy about what type of computer you had, but it was still such an awesome game. I sooo wish they'd made a CFW2.

Unfortuantly though, I really don't think the A2 engine can handle something like that. Perhaps you could do a little something with like the Saucer Seperation feature, but I don't think it'd work too well.
