If I'm reading this right, the supply system is essentially just going to be another resource yes? In effect, it's going to act like CP or the officer limit of the unmodded games. So, given that, why do it? The point of removing the officer system was that most everyone didn't care for it (especially in A2), so why bring back a cloned look alike?

Now, if it's a system like in Conquest: Frontier Wars where it's litteraly supplies your talking about, that would be INSANELY cool. Things your ships need to operate. Weapons and consumables mostly, limiting the time you can have them deployed in the field and giving rise to a need to have foreward supply bases and something other than a central base. THAT would be freaking awesome, because I kid you not, CFW was the BEST RTS game. Ever. Strategy wise anyway.

Suppy system is not a limit in any way...It's simple, every ship besides cost in crew, dilithium and tritanium, has a supply cost. You get some amount from start and with ship building your amount of supplies are depleted so you have to buy more from starbase. I think it will cost around 1000 dil and 1000 trit for about 100 supplies more.
So you don't actually "harvest" or "collect" supplies.
Supplies only prevent fast fleet building, if you wan't  big fleets it will cost you also for buying more supplies.  Number of ships built is not limited. Also you'll have to watch for your ships not to be destroyed, because they become even more valuable.

So it's not like supplies or CP in CFW (which is great rts) or officers in Armada games.

Ahhh I see. Okay, that's not too bad. Oooohhh but in the final version if they could have a CFW style set up....*drools* And even more cool, would be the Admiral System....I don't know WHY nobody else has used that, it's such an amazing idea and concept.

I think HW2 is the best RTS game strategy wise. A 3 dimensional map that can go much higher or lower then armada can.

you chose them ingame at the beginning of a match - that means even if you not chose to play random your opponent only knows which race you choosed, not which avatar - well he will find out the sooner or later of course Tongue hopefully to late

And I think Haegemonia: Legions of Iron or Haegemonia: The solon heritage is the best strategy, the graphics are same or better than in HW2 but the gameplay is much much better in my opinion Smiley

FO crew should aim at the explosions that are found in there Wink Really makes u drool Tongue

Optec: will avatars become heroes in next versions? Sort like if u choose one u get his hero in game too, with his own special ship?? Smiley That would really be cool  cool

whatever avator you choose then has the form of a hero ship specific to that charactor. own special weapons. or even just a pumped up regular ship, like the enterprise.
