hmm, I'm at work so going off memory here.

fist is label.map you need to change all instanses of one material to another, changing the names on the right side only.

Next in A2 is the localised strings, I dont remember the file name, someone help me out, just search for all instances of the resource you are changing and alter it. After that if you want to change the symbol you need to open up each races gui textures in folder Textures/RGB (for fed I think it's fgui_a hmmm maybe)

Now the one resource will appear as another. it's a bit vague but should give you a place to start, someone else can fill in the gaps or I will later.

Hi and welcome to the forums   cheesy

Yep, we did not create a resource ourselves. As far as i know that's not possible (to add a new resource). We did it the "Achilles Way"  cheesy  Modifing an existing one to fit your needs is the only thing which is possible. You should check the localized string file and the label file for renaming purpose.

Although some modifications have to be made with the FO launcher if you really want to create something new and are not possible with simple ODF editing. But if you just want another resource which does not behave special (like our Tritanium for example) that should be enough.

Appologies uk9999. I missread your initial thread opener. As for you Sfera. Your personal opinion towards isn't warranted or welcome so if you please, butt out until you know the whole story.

....and yes. Those that "have a go" get me doing exactly the same in return.

I think MaP has a very valid reason for being a bit anoyed with the FO team, his whole mod that he has spent god knows how long working on has been canceled because of their no sharing policy.
One point I'd like to make is that the FO team had to learn to mod somewhere, considering im going to bet this was with one of the A2 modding comunities I think it is unfair that they now refuse to share their work.
Finally I'd like to make the point that Map didn't even know that he was using FO models but got them from elsewhere with permission and it was later reveled to be FO stuff.
I'd like to say also that I am a big fan of FO but it is really dissapointing to see them not sharing with the rest of the comunity, also that im really disapointed to see MaPs mod go down the drain because of FO. Really finally this time I doubt my post will make the slightest bit of difference to the FO team but I felt I had to post it anyway.
