My only qualm about the Iconians would be that IIRC they're extinct. Is it time travel or somthing, or were they just hiding?

Yep indeed, the Iconians are masters of time travel. Cause we still do not know what exactly happened to them nobody knows if all of them got irradicated. The only thing we know is that there was a war in the Iconian home system, some external foe attacking them and that Iconia and all other Iconian colonies are abonded now for over 40000 years Yep there is a complete Fleet Operations storry and hopefully there will be a singleplayer campaign in the future, but that's not on the top of the todo list It could very well be that the Iconians will become the next race implemented in v4 after the dominion |

the moon and mars are uninhabiltbel and need teraforming or domed cites. Perhaps they left towards another inhabitable world and in the generations between that there ship or ships emrged or got larger to the point where they didnt need a planet and they just kept on going beause of there doctrine.
