Okay so considering that this is the first time I've actually run B2 without it crashing I'm not finding that the game seems to be entering the map editor. The screen is blank (FOW) and there is no ships or anything actually appearing.

An answer would be appreciated.

Did you enter the map editor via the external utility or via the ingame shortcut? Have you already tried to install the latest patch?

If the problem still continues pls let it crash again and attach the log.txt from your \FOData\Temp directory. maybe this gives us some hints what's going wrong  cheesy

hm, have you tried to toggle between normal game mechanics and the editor by pressing ctrl+a?

There are some issues with the beta2 Map Manager, that's we we completely rewrote booth the manager and the launcher for version 3. This bugs should be fixed by then  cheesy
