Episode III was one of the best movies i have ever seen. It was action-packed, had a deep storyline, included a dose of jokes, and corrected nearly all of the continuation issues that existed between Episode II and IV, which will please fans the world over. What amazed me was even though i knew how it basically ended (Anakin becomes Vader and Palpatine forms the empre) it still amazed me throughout.

EPISODE III WAS THE GREATEST OF THE STAR WARS FILMS I Loved Episode 3, it is rare that i will see the same movie twice in the thearters. IT was unbelievably good! I have seen all the SW films at least 6 times and i loved 3 more than any of them. The lightsaber fighting was insane and the beggining fleet battle was so cool!!! The story was actualy great and tied all of them together amazingly well. Anakin was so badass in that film. HE was killing children just to save padme! Well its all crazy and stuff so yeah thats it... Bzzzz..... i will now show you the power of the coffee side....

I thought the movie was good and all, but the little kid killing was sick, even though you don't see it, I thought it was sick.

Hmm, good point, the Republic's been around a few 1000 years I believe.

Yeah in "A New Hope" Kenobi tells Luke that the Jedi guarded the Republic for thousands of generations, so that would be more like 25-100 thousand years.

Right, although Palpatine talks about "a thousand years", common belief is that he meant 1000 years without bigger conflicts.
In Episode IV, Kenobi clearly says:
"For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire."
That would definately mean more than 25,000 years. (a generation = about 25 years)
The Republic has seen many wars against the Sith. But never could the Sith gain a total victory. And at the time of Episode I-III, there had been 1000 years of peace for the Republic.
And when the Sith finally had their victory, it did only last 25 years. Ridiculous.

We do have to keep in mind that the Empire is still around, just in another corner of the galaxy.
