Hello,

Just found out about Fleet-Ops and looks like it might be a fun mod.  Is there a way to install the newest version on top of an installed Armada without the installation CD?

Thanks!

I believe so.  You just need to download the FO mod, then you go to the icon that is made for installing FO.  From there, you open up that icon, then you follow the installation instructions.  It needs no CD whatsoever since it is downloadable from the web.  Also, welcome to the forums Sayeed.  I'm sure you'll love FO compared to A2.

I am wondering that also, but there is no way to install without the cd, and at the cost of going to buy one (its a bargain bin game now) just buy a new cd.

Hello,

Thanks for all the advice and welcome, this is a nice community.

Got a CD, will reinstall in a bit and I'll let you know what I think.

What do you guys think of the graphics of this mod compared to that of the original?

The graphics are much better than the original A2, and if you look at the screen shots of the upcoming release they look tremendously better than stock.

The activision team must of been drunk when they made the textures for the original, I love the FO textures.  Cheesy

naw they just made low rez textures and didnt think to make anything higher rez beaucuse of the presure by activison to release it and there shor sightedness to computer power to come.

Activision was just plain stupid.  Nonetheless, I love the new textures of FO.  Activision also didn't put enough effort into making A2.  I was really disappointed by how the game played out.

The same thing happened with Armada 1. It was rushed.

When supply and demand go screwy.  It's simple macroeconomics.

supply and demand has nothing to do with it. Activision just wanted money quickly on a sh*ty sequal, so they set an imposible release date that couldent be met without extreme sacrifice to the game.
