I'm not exactly certain who will win, but I figure that this thread might help me understand who MIGHT win.

Tough decision a chrome dome with chuckles as a first officer but observes the prime directive, or a guy with hair a smart first officer and a doesnt care about rules.

I think it depends on the situation. If they're duking it out on a planet then yeah Kirk would probably win. If it's ship to ship combat then Picard would probably win (he's defeated Q a couple times after all) and has all those tricks like the Picard manuever that Kirk has never heard of.

You have to consider that they are from diferent time periods so you cant judge them by there ships. Give them two evenly matched ships and see how kirk does than. Besides if Riker (chuclkes) could throw him a few curve balls with an uterly crappy ship so could kerk.

I didn't mean ship to ship.  I meant by the actual persons themselves.

If anyone, however, wants to use anything else such as ship-to-ship combat, that's fine with me.  As long as it's Kirk vs. Picard, it's cool beans. cheesy

Why?

Because he would use his diplomatic talent.
He would tell Kirk that they are on the same side after all and that it's not making any sense to fight each other.

Then both would visit the next bar to have a drink and talk about "making a difference again". cool

All in all I think Picard has a better crew:
Data-super-fast thinking, calculating,....
Troi-Can read minds, like in Nemesis Wink
Worf-The best tactical officer in starfleet of all time Cheesy, and a really good 1vs1 fighter
Laforge-Ok here I think Scotty was better Cheesy


Its true Picard has good diplomatic skills, but in any case he is a good fighter too and has proven it many times Tongue
