I love dogs, they fetch things unlike some stuck up cats (glares at fat cat staring at me).

Dogs are incredibly smart, alot smarter then cats. Seems like thats a common misconception, because you don't see seeing eye cats, urban search and rescue cats, etc.

Cats give in too easy, you pet them they love you. Dogs are the same way, but can be trained to speak, sit, fetch, etc.

I've had about 10 dogs and 20 cats my whole life, so I think I know what i'm talking about.

If they are smarter they haven't shown it, but i'd much rather perfer a dog.

Very true.  I've learned to be more careful from that.  Now, Praetor, the reason I mentioned about the puppy situation was that I felt that I wasn't a good person.  When I state or hear something, I mean it or interpret it literally.  It's a trait of Asperger's Syndrome.  In my case, I was trying to show you, Praetor, that I'm one damned bastard!  At that time, I was raising hell because you instigated a problem on the political thread by calling us anti-Bush folks "anti-American", and then I slandered you as "Saxby Chambliss", then ewm90 PMed me in response showing his disapproval, and then I went on a hell-spree.  Do you realize that you can do/say some nasty stuff when you're in a bad mood?  I completely regret what happened when I was five years old, and I wish that things were not the way they were.  When I'm in a foul mood, however, I can be just like Satan - PURE EVIL!  Do you understand me, boy?

It's crap like this that causes problems on this forum to begin with, Praetor.  Stop instigating more hell before someone else might do even worse than me!

Ewm not all dogs are the same, like my dog for example is a very calm, proud, brave dog and I do not have one doubt he would be prepared to protect me with his life.

There are of course other breeds, like the golden retriever for example he would do anything that his master says he should do, my dog is more stubborn. But the golden retriever is also more active and really likes water and to fetch stuff.

And now if u think cats are smarter than dogs, ok fine. Show me some evidence though.
In nature dogs have A LOT more complex hearchy than cats, which are usually lone hunters(with execption of lions). But even lions arent as good group hunters as dogs are, and have a lot less kill percentage than dogs. Which shows the dogs can coordinate their attacks MUCH MUCH better than them

Here are a bunch of reasons cats are smarter than dogs:

Why dogs aren't smart 1. Dogs chew on everything in sight
2. They take a long time to learn anything
3. They don't know what clean is
4. They instantly think of people as friendly even if the people aren't
5. They must have short memories to not get the idea for a long time
6. They have to be taught everything
7. They knok everythig down in their way

Why Cats Are Smart 1. Cats aren't lazy, they're heart rates are much faster than other animals and cats are more lively at night then in the day
2. Cats teach themselves to do things (like opening doors, latches, using a litter box,etc)
3. Cats have good memories, they remember if someone wronged them and which people (and cats) are good and bad
4. Cats are very agile and don't knock everything down
5. Cats know how to take care of themselves and don't need humans to do everything
6. Cats are very clean
7. They know better than to get in the way of cars and trucks
8. Cats can be very loyal to the humans they know, dogs attach themselves to anyone
9. Petting cats clams people and lowers heart rates
10. Cats pur
11. Cats can learn ticks that dogs can't
12. Cats don't cause noise problems
13. Cats don't bite or scatch without a reason
14. Cats were worshiped by anchient peoples
15. Cats aren't pushovers

I was just explaning myself, boy.  This topic does have to do with conflicts to begin with.  It's good that even here people are getting along by discussing in a peaceful manner about dogs and cats.  Even if you think that I'm a b******, boy, you should talk with The Black Baron.  I explained everything to him here on the forum and in a response to a PM that he gave me after I PMed him to explain myself.  Perhaps, son, you need to realize what the h*** you've done on this forum by making me stir-crazy with some slanderous remark about people like myself and ewm90.

And perhaps I'm an old man after all.  It most likely comes from my dad's dad (a.k.a. my paternal grandfather).  He was one bull-headed individual.
