Hello,

I did a little research on this board and I didn't find the anwser I was looking for. I wanted to know the reason you swept away species 8472 in the game (to replace it with a very similar race ).

Don't take this as a criticism, I just wanted to know ! Smiley

Thanks !

i think the fo teem chose to leev tham out be cuss thay felt thay did not fit in the game thay wher just out of place.

thay felt that the Noxter wher more relasitic to tham.

the Noxter  will not be in v3 when it comes out. thay wont to rebild the Noxter compaletly thay will be totaly bifrent. posibaly thare will be a pach after v3 comes out that will add tham.

the Noxter in b2 is realy bugy and coses the game to crash.

i personly are looking forwerd to seeing what the fo teem comes up with.

I also want spieces 8472, but the FO team wanted to make their own race which wold fit in with there own single player story line. Thats the real reason they didn't make 8472.

On Voyager, Species 8472 did not have stations like what are found in A2.  The "pilots" are the real Species 8472, not the ships or stations.  I think that the team wanted to make things as realistic as possible.

I don't mind the Noxter, they remind me very much of the Zerg off Starcraft.

I'm looking forward to seeing them in their new form.  From what I've heard, the Noxter and the Dominion are bitter enemies, so when the Noxter return, I'm looking forward to playing Dominion vs. Noxter on v4 or whenever the Noxter return.

I never liked the Noxter or species 8472 for that matter, so I dont really care which of them come into the mod.
As for why they didnt come into the game, well I think they are simply to powerful and writers made a mistake as in my opinion the Borg should be the most powerful and species 8472 were just too much Smiley

That would seem true.  Species 8472 originally consisted of the Bioship and the pilots and was not really meant to be consisted of stations and other ships.

well if species 8472 would have stations then it wouldn't be biological  stations like the ones in A2 i would rather see the mothersip having add on growths like in homeworld to create more complex ships. i mean imagine a life as a shipyard or worse a technology station for a beast lol. i rather be a mothership.

Hehe roach you'd rather be a mothership? That assumes that you'd have the free will to want to do anything. I don't remember free will as being at the top of 8472's list of things to give their bio-organism ship things  LOL
