hmmm, roms should have the minelayer, fed defiant class should be able to lay a much smaller amount of mines.

Yea, i like the idea too, but the other question is f the federation don't get too strong when the defiant gets additionally gets a minelayer, would be easier to build a team defiant and kill smaller vessels with standard weapons and big ships with the minelayer...

the romulans are the race i ment to have the mine layer. i thought about the federation too (defiant ..) bit i think the federation is quite strong enough in defence (ECM, point defence, newton class)

i don't really see the use of point defense, it does not stop phasers does it? and only about 3 of the ships in the game use torpedos.

i have thozght about it.. the romulans should have a "small" minelayer, similar to the classic one which of the defiant (in armada2) .. the eridians should have the ability to plant mine fields..

it is possible, but you have to use an 8472 file, i think somebody has it made.

you could use the ion storm special weapon and change the object that it creates, but you would still have to make each one seperatly.....
