Hi,

During installation of the Fleet Opperations mod, I get the message:

'error opening file for writing C:\windows\system\MSVCP60.dll'

then i can either Abort, retry or ignore this. When I retry it just comes up with the same message again, i've ignored it and then when i click on the fleet ops icon to start the game i get the error message:

CONV caused an invalid page fault in
module CONV.ICP
and then the game doesn't work.

any ideas??
cheers. huh

Yeah I have already tried that. When I installed bridge commander it asked for the MSVCP60.dll file so i had to download that, could it be becuase it is an old version of the dll file?

Happy to be here thanks!

i think your problem could be solved by upgrading to windows 2000 or xp. we already have had ppl using windows 98 having mysterious errors not only with fleetops but also other games like the one you are reporting gone with a newer os...

so if you are willing to upgrade, i am sure your problem will be gone

ME has plenty of random errors too, But thats what you get for using a OS that was rushed out and made s a cash grab before XP and after 98.

XP is recomened in the system requirements that I created, ohh so long ago from the data in the How does fleet ops run on your computer thread.
