formation attack paterns (like the circle) would be possible, but cause it is not programmed that well in a2 it's not sure if it will find it's way back. the a1 feature black baron has mentioned was a nice addition (also i never used it) but that has been removend in a2.. so our possibilities are quite limited here. to be honest i like it better the way it is at the moment. seeing my small vessels fly to an enemy cause of a coolnes move and then come in the weaponrange of a spacedock is not that cool while they could have stayed out of range and killed the oponnent.. i think it worked well for the most part...the thing is that the a.i. never used it...they just stood still and attacked...if the a.i. could be made to use the attack formations...it would remove the congestion that is associated with the lack of manuvering.

Oh back to directors cut eh  :cry:

well the problem with that was that i tried for so long to get it back but it is not possible because with the addition of the formations and attack paterns they changed the whole ai pathing system removing it i think it was a dumb decision but what can you do unless optec decides to make a few new patterns and formations
