i think you should first add the known races like romulans and dominion/cardassian(8472 isnt needed in my opinion ...) ... i dont like totally imagined new races ... ( or is it somewhere in the new old enterprise series ?)

the Noxter, the Eridians and the Ciadan are completly imagined.. but cause they appear in my Star Trek rpg, they stand their man in the Star Trek universe and have often been edited, since the final versions. I hope you will find them alltogether a addition to the Star Trek Universe.
The Klingons, the Borg, the Romulans and last but not least the Federation are the 'old' races, we all know well :-)
The Iconians do appear in TNG.. but cause their culture hase been 'eliminated' there isn't mutch info in TNG about them and you never see a Iconian ship or even an Iconian. Therefore the Iconians are partly imagined, but fiting to the Star Trek universe, I think..

i'm aware it is always difficult to add something to an complex system like Star Trek, and always people don't like it :-)
These new races will fit the Star Trek environment (being humanoid - except the Noxter of caurse - ; non of them will build unbelivable super weapons like 5 kilometer ships or bomps which can explode planets and stuff)

As you can read in another topic, it is undecided yet, if there will be an expansion pack which will bring the Cardassians or the Dominion to the playable races. They will be included as non playable races of course.

I hope you will enjoy playing the new races in Fleet Operations shuch as i do playing them in the RPG ;-)

maybe singleplayer missions will be available in the final version of fleet operations or as an addon, but it is not planned yet.

i'm looking forward to the next versions ... pehaps you could do them as special ADDONS/UPGRADES instead of making more and more 90+mb files ... we don't all have dsl-connections or flatrate ... this would be very great ... really ...

The next beta version is planned as both full version and a upgrade version from beta 1.1. Also there will be an improved compression system used making the file size about 10% smaller.

yea, beta 1.0 was not updatable because of an installer error ending with all installed versions are different from ones on other computers
