If their so dumb then how could we have taken over a country so quick, an almost record only beaten by the Germans and their blitzkrieg. That country, the Netherlands I believe, is small tho.

Exactly right Praetor. It even took the Germans 44 days to capture a weak, dispirited, and frantically surrendering country half the size of Iraq (France). The biggest difference between the performance of US forces and other famous quick strike militaries like the Soviets of WW 2 or even the Nazis is the individualism and personal initiative of our junior officers. As Victor Davis Hanson writes in many of his books, free democratic societies consistently produce the most effective, fast moving, and viciously unconquerable armies and navies the world has ever seen.

And it is certainly beyond dispute that the US is the most free society both economically and politically in the world, so it's only logical that our military contains some rather brilliant sergeants and LTs that aren't afraid to put it on the line, take risks, and destroy the enemy.

well i gan finad pepal thay feel the same whay as me eny day. but that says nuthing about the troth. i have one cusin in irack how is pro bush war. and than i have a frind how is anti bush wor hows in irack.
