I don't. I think a big reason he was voted on was religious and moral reasons. He's a Christian against things like abortion and gay marriage which Christians are against. Oddly, Kerry is a Catholic and he's not against any of those. I think thats a big reason why he lost, he was trying to play every side he could and didn't stand by his values.
I saw in a vote right before the election few people even cared about the war, and any new developments in it wouldn't change their mind about who they would vote for.

2. distoshons and hipe 20%
3. relinon 10%
4. no gay marige, morle belifes, abortion 20%

pepal voting for kary:
1. 40% so bush duss not win.
2. 25% think he a good presadent and coo help amrica recover the det and help the helth care syitom bild back op help re stabal lise forin relashons... and on and on
3. 5% he is a Grate presadent
4. 15% be cuss he is a dimacrat.
5. 15% his milatry recerd and thing he is beter with sucraty.
6. 5% distoshons and hipe.
this is a basic barack dawn its more complicated and miny more ishowe but maby this will help.
my nubers mite be abit odff but thates a crowed back dawn of the voters.

Most of that makes sense, some kerry stuff dosen't. "3. 5% he is a Grate presadent" lol, 1 he wasen't president and 2 why is he great? Another was his military record, how would that make him better with security?

I'm not sure where you guys are getting the impression that the US military is full of dumb people. Sure some rear-area supply types are beating up criminals and terrorists in Abu Ghraib or whatever, but the guys who are doing the shooting in the Combat Arms units are typically pretty smart, or else they'd be dead by now.
