Voyager never takes the time to explain why a highly classified ship just slips through the federation fingers and somehow isn't stopped until the romulans (all 3 of them oh no) are taken out of the picutre does anyone see something wrong with this senerio

you never knew that a starfleet ship full of people and with all that tec can never stop one guy. its in a ton of episodes, why not make it three! lol its horrid, though for a better answer, we do know that the Roms have spys in high places, remmber that TNG episode. It could be likely (i have never seen the episode mind you) that the rom people we smuggled in and that the spy jsut gave them the codes.

Still a highy advanced ship and the Federation aren't going to watch it like a hawk or atleast leave some kind of defence system to make sure if the small crew was overrun there was a backup plan  It just doent' feel right was she jacked on a shakedown cruise. Did the rommies take her right out of a starbase. It all seems to coincedental to me... That the romulans granted a great underground orginization with the tal shiar and all. But dont' count out starfleet security just yet they may not be the brighteset but, they are somewhat intellegent. Anyone else the least bit suprised the romulans stole the prometheus so easily and with no exploding consoles to kill them while they are being attacked by a Nebula Fullphaser |

hmm, if the roms couldent take over the most advanced fed ship of its time. Id be realy amazed that the ferengi, could take over the enterprise D in TNG, mine you that it was the fed flagship, most advanced in the fleet, and had a crew of about 1000... Seem that a more or less skeleton crewed ship shouldent be that hard to take over, expecialy with the help of the Tal'Shiar...

maybe they took the prometheus out for a test run with minimal crew and got surprised by some cloaked romulan vessel. i don't know how to get a romulan vessel over the neutral zone cause of the sensor net the feds have installed there.

it is weird, seems that the feds are really weak with intel and the entire fleet could be taken over by the enemy, however no one has ever tried that
perhaps the writers had a writer block and had to write something,
anyway
does anyone know what season that episode is from? I am buying all seasons on dvd this month i bought season 3

When they committed all their sensor capabilities to that sector, we overloaded their computer systems by spamming their email servers with "Free Romulan Pr0n! Hot girls with pointy ears!"
When that was accomplished a phase-cloaked Talon with 5 of the most feared Reikaransu commandos in the entire Star Empire, equipped with personal cloaks of course, closed with the Prometheus and boarded it, wiping out the small crew and losing only two of their own.
That's how it happened.
