urm... while that's pretty much accurate that each race (except the Borg) have repair ships in A2, in FleetOps B2, as far as Im aware, its just the Federation that has repair Ships.

While I do miss having repair ships while i'm romulans or some other race, I do quite like it that way it is, as the Feds typically have some of the weakest stations (starbase/platforms) the repair bot is an almost essential tool in their armory.

I think the only other race that could prob do with repair ships, would be the Romulans as their station's firepower is also pretty poor, but with platforms being so cheap to build compared to the other races, I dare not complain too loudly Wink

In reality no race had repair ships. One ship may beam an engineering crew to another to rig something up so they could limp back to starbase or just use a tractor beam. The use of a repair beam to fix a damaged ship is a fantasy at best anyway Wink

I don't know if the idea of a repair beam is that bad. It's more reasonable than the futuristic extendable armor that Admiral Janeway brought back in time to Voyager. Imagine if the beam just reinforces the shields and maybe replicates hull plating and armor? Basic stuff, maybe couldn't repair engines, but the concept is there.

Lumpybob are you trying to increase your post count or something? If you feel the need to spam just start a topic in small talk called "spam" and see how long it takes an admin to close it, ban you forever, and burn your email address at the stake or something. Please.
