we always thought about something like that but that would make balancing real hard. so the alternative i see in it is giving an non player vessel but klingons the possibility to do that. klingons have many nice units anyway. i think if we would integrate such ships for the klingons, even with less hitpoints and cheap price (or would you pay much for such a ship, i don't think not more than any other vessel costs like terrors from starcraft). that would only annoy non klingon players, especially would be painful for stations. terrors in starcraft are better suited there cause they only can attack air units. in fleet operations there are only 'air' units, so that unit would be strong. making it slower would make the unit pointless too and not worth the price. i just think such a unit wouldn't match star trek logic and affect gameplay negative.

indeed, don't like it, but maybe make a self destruct in it and that would do some pretty bad area damage like the diamond thing

The dominion bug should have a ramming speed special weapon.

I think optec mentioned it does......

And for the idea, I dont like it, cause then some players would just build their strategy around that---> just couldnt stand millions of bops ramming my capital ships Smiley

Yep, the dominion Attack Destroyer will most probably have a collide special ability, also it won't deal that much damage, so it should only be usable as a weapon of last choice. a real kamikaze vessel as mentioned above should be something for a neutral race, indeed

I realize this may be technically unfeasible, but how about making the dominion bugs automatically ram the nearest enemy when their hull is degraded to say 20 percent? That would be pretty neat.

Sorry, unless there is something hidden in the deepest mires of the odf's and other ship control systems there is nothing I know of that correlates both the hull integrety and the special weapons atleast not something that the AI would know how to moniter Wink
