Strange, I like The Undiscovered Country, First Contact, Wrath of Kahn and... Insurrection. One of my favourite ones because it's what Roddenberry wanted Star Trek to be. It's not about war, it's about the problems of today transferred to be reflected from the viewpoint of the future. It's storytelling. It's emotional and intellectual and partly self-ironic. It's Star Trek.

I hate Nemesis. Ok, the battle scenes are good (although they totally screwed the Sovereigns weapons... photons that look like rockets and fire from about everywhere. Huh? huh)...

But the Director was a plain idiot. Cutting everything that was Star Trek and adding inconsistencies. Great job.

And the worst thing: Data dies to be replaced by an android that removes years of character development. Oh really, that's great. One reason why I stick with TNG and DS9, that's entertainment.

Even though overall i enjoyed Nemesis i do agree with some of the things you say, killing data off to be replaced by a lesser character is a mistake it would of been better in my view to kill of Picard as if Partick Stuart is not going to appear in anymore movies and there isn't alot of use for him Janeway can be the main admiral and link to the federation and Riker and the titan take over as the main ship/story base.

no don't like the titan idea, i hate that data was killed however, data and his entire being is transferred in b-4,

anyway ds9 is ok but it messes up alot of things roddenberry build up, in example the fed alliance with the klingons!

how can nemisis be a good movie? there are som many faults in it. The movie was justr eye candy and that is it. How can the moest powerfull intelligence service in teh galaxy slip through  a bomb in the senate. and why do they need a jeep in a shuttle if they can litterally land at the place where they need to be or use transporters?

and more stupid things like that

well personally i believe DS9 was the best of the star trek series, it had the most depth and character development in my opinion and i have seen all of tng and voy. AS far as the movies i liked all but 4,5,7 and 10. In nemesis they tried to copy the star wars battle effect as i call it. The heavy special effects and mediocer story.  as far as the decline in Star Trek popularity, its because the generations are becoming less intellectual, i mean for god sakes look at reality TV, it has to be the worst idea for entertainment ever. As far as star trek is if you just say you like it in my high school; you plunge your self into a nightmare world of ridicule from which there is no reprieve  . (I love in redneck Maine.     the average IQ is in the double digits and the only that people talk about is NASCAR (Non Athletic Sport Created Around Rednecks LOL )

you seem not to be reading well, wrath of khan is part 2 so a good movie and the undiscovered country part 6, also even numbered movie and thus a good movie,

ds9 f*cked up alot of facts and carefully build up facts and screwed with star trek logic, altho i liked the serie alot it was just not consistent to the star trek of TOS and TNG
