I have a slight problem with my latest two maps called Challenger and Bystander (available in Map Exchange section of the forum).

They are both 8-player maps with set starting points for all of them...
(Camera_1 .... Camera_8)

The problem is, that in the game you cant select them, because they are all in the middle...
I`ve been searching for the problem, but i cant find it....

Help?!

Please...

The starting points are all correctly set (it seems)....

Its strange that only these two maps are giving me a headache, all the rest are working properly....

Does it make any difference if you set the starting points in the beggining of mapmaking or in the end?

You should probably wait for the end, also you might wanna try deleting them and putting them back down and seeing what happens.

u schould check the txt file of your map, all starting points should be wirtten right p ex. : Camera_1, 2 , .... , 8

next check the amount of players allowed for the map, go with Ctrl+R in the menu , check the player slot. p. ex if u want to make a 4 player map, open 4 slot for human and set 4 slots to emptey

that it  Wink

then check the txt file of our map ( in the bzn directory), go to the end of the file and check if the all starting point only have 1 point (2 and more are bad)

if u got one or more starting points with more than 1 point, go to the map editor an delet the one of the two points

i solved the problem, with much anger Smiley

i had to completely redo all starting points ...
the 2nd time all of them 1 point in the txt file, still didnt work...

worked out the 3rd time.... i'm not really sure why, i think it has something to do with the way a starting point is clicked (click and immediate double click to set its parameters...)

as i said i'm not really sure, it me, so i gave it a couple days, then i kept trying...

I've discovered that it really doesn't matter if a start location has 1 point or 2.

I have succesfully repaired all my maps (the ones which needed it Smiley by removing any objects to close to the start point and i don't know how this worked.... i pressed CTRL + R and clicked on all 8 players (buttons) OK-yed it and saved...

all problems gone  Cheesy

good luck everyone

oh, i released a map pack composed of 11 maps (+4 variants).... read more in the map exchange section  Wink
