well, I think warp is indeed for traveling between sectors however I think that the ships are a bid to slow
I think the smaller ships, destroyers and frigates should be rather fast so they have some kind of tactical advantage over the battleships,
like a small group of bird of preys (b'rel) could hit a single sovereign class a couple of times then with draw and hit again

Well they are faster now, but if that differnce would be to big I dont think it would be any better. And BTW canon is other way round, so the battleships are faster then frigates or destroyers

Are you talking about the speed with impulse engines now? I don't know who is faster on impulse, smaller or bigger ships, but it makes sence to me that smaller are faster and more manoverable.

Nope smaller arent faster but they are more maneurable well at least that is canon U dont understand this becuse u r thinking of real life, but in space there is nothing to slow ships down, so a bigger engine will be faster then a small one

Warp was designed for sector to sector travel anyway, when i think about maps i think as them 1 sector, 1 Sector is 20 lightyears

Baron....think about this, E>I=A that is the fomula to get exsleratoin. if you fill in the gaps for... Saber... 1300 for 5 sec>1200kg-est.=1c (this is jsut condecture, too tired to aculy figure it.)
Galaxy.. 5100 for 5 sec>5000kg-est=1c (this is jsut condecture, too tired to aculy figure it.)
Note in all reality they should go the same, but they dont becouse the saber may have a engen that over powers the intertia faster and more. i would like to know were you got your Cannon fact? as they may have a reson that is in fact better than this one.

Where I got my cannon fack, hmmmmm, OK look: Think about all the things that slow down movement here on earth, Ill name just a few gravity, friction,I dont know whats it called in english but air slows down movement too,... This is the reason bigger and heavier things move slower here, but u dont have those elemnts in open space, well u have gravity but not nearly as much, and so it matters how powerfull your engine is. nothing else See this is my cannon fact

i know but there is also no sound in space, yet in star trek there is, so you don't have to use physics and stuff to the letter since then it would be a boring game

Yeah I know I was just explaining my canon source to [F-I-I]FCpt-MJP, I like it more ST way If it was like that smaller ships would be useless of course
