I think you should read the article again. I've never heard of 'saucer-seperating-Sovereign'  huh .

OK 2 pages croped a bit to look desent and not take up to much room, one is pg49 w/images and the other pg 50 the text on it, i also took the liberty to make it esser to read the text, if you whant i can post the uninhanced one.

As John Eaves designed the whole Enterprise-E and as the drawings are genuine drawings by John Eaves, I would say: "Yes, the Enterprise-E is supposed to have saucer separation capabilities."

However, it's always in question if something that has never been in an episode ore movie is canon or not. That depends on your personal point of view, I think.

OK MJP, you're right I see. But I think the ability to sepertate the saucer-section was made in an early stadium of developing the Sovereign and they just thought "Why not make an article in the Star Trek magazine about it. It will interest the Fans."

i cant agree, if you coudl see the entier atricla you would understand, also if you read the section of text i have there you see that the ship is to have souce seperatoin.
