Look all I want is for ships to accelerate a bit slower and that they dont turn instantly and thats it  and this idea would be pretty useless if they wont realize the ship arc idea 2, so do either both ideas or non  Oh and BTW in that scenario I ment kvorts and not ktingas, cause of their special weapon, sorry about that  |

Theroreticaly left running long enough an ion engine shoudl accelerate to lightspeed as it is an actual speed. The problem is that would the ship/engine be ripped apart by the speed, lets look at this no friction no resistance no reason for it to go flying apart.
