Title: B2: Sfo Patch Problem
Post by: Admiral Janeway on July 03, 2004, 02:50:03 AM
When I try to download the Starfleet Operations Patch I get the following error message:

"C:\PROGA~1\ACTIV~1\FLEETO~1.EXE The NTVDM CPV has encountered an illegal instruction. CS: 0542 IP: 0295 OP:63 6f 6f 3c 2f Chose "Close" to terminate the application"

How can I download another version?

You don't have to buy getright you can just downlaod the unregistared trial version, you don't need to pay anything (you'll get messages asking you to buy but you can just ignore them)

yea, i think something just goes plain wrong there, looks like a corrupted download to me, so yea, a download manager may be a wise idea. ntvdm is the 16-bit virtual machine of windows. so as windows could not recognize the type of application due to corruption it tries to execute in it's 16bit vm that crashes...
